From carbon to community
Aqualibre Africa (AQLA) is redefining how the world finances the fight against climate change.
Across five continents
AQLA is turning sustainability into measurable, tradeable and insurable value.
Our projects:
- Nuclear energy development in Namibia
- Advancements in biochar and Sustainable Aviation Fuel in South Africa
- Battery recycling programs in India
- Hydrogen innovation projects in Australia
- Industrial decarbonisation in the Indian leather sector
Are united by one purpose:to generate insured, verified, community-led and blockchain-tracked carbon credits that deliver environmental and economic transformation.
We work where impact meets opportunity — helping government bodies, companies and communities convert emission reductions into new revenue streams. Every tonne of CO₂ avoided or removed represents not just climate progress. It also encourages livelihoods, infrastructure and investment in a greener, more inclusive future.
By integrating engineering expertise, financial innovation and carbon-market intelligence, AQLA creates bankable climate projects that are credible, transparent and scalable.
Whether it’s clearing invasive species, recycling industrial waste or financing clean energy — AQLA turns environmental responsibility into profitable sustainability.
The carbon economy is here and those who act now will lead it.
AQLA stands at the intersection of technology, finance and climate resilience. Our experience in structuring insured and verified carbon-credit portfolios gives partners confidence that every project we build is both profitable and planet-positive.
If your organisation is developing a green project, seeking to offset emissions or looking to access climate-linked finance, we invite you to collaborate with us.
Together, we can design projects that are scientifically sound, financially sustainable, and socially empowering.
More specifically, projects that generate lasting value for shareholders, citizens and the planet alike.
Why not Partner with Aqualibre Africa.
Let us monetise carbon for a better world — one verified carbon credit at a time.
Projects
Australia: Monetising Carbon Credits from Green Hydrogen and Carbon Capture
In Australia’s Latrobe Valley, Aqualibre Group partners with Victoria Hydrogen to build a carbon-credit monetisation strategy tied to green hydrogen, low-carbon fertiliser, and Direct Air Capture (DAC) technologies.
The project integrates renewable energy, carbon sequestration, and industrial efficiency into a closed-loop, carbon-negative system. AQLA’s role covers credit methodology mapping (under Puro.earth and CORSIA), insurance structuring, and blockchain-based MRV systems for transparent verification.
By monetising avoided and captured emissions, the project unlocks new financing for hydrogen production and supports Australia’s decarbonisation and export objectives.
This collaboration showcases Aqualibre’s international reach — merging engineering innovation with financial architecture — to fund the next generation of clean-energy infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region.
India: Decarbonising the Leather Industry in Chennai
The Indian Leather Export Council engaged Aqualibre Africa to create a sector-wide carbon-credit strategy for Chennai’s leather and accessories industry — a global manufacturing hub.
AQLA helps tanneries measure, reduce, and monetise emissions through verified projects, introducing renewable energy, improved wastewater systems, recycling, and bio-based tanning.
Emission reductions are converted into community-linked carbon credits, giving factories secondary income while meeting ESG and global brand compliance standards.
This initiative makes sustainability a financial asset, positioning India’s leather sector as a global model for ethical manufacturing — delivering cleaner water, safer workplaces, and stronger communities.
South Africa: Turning Invasive Wattle into Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Aqualibre Africa’s Wattle-to-SAF initiative converts invasive wattle — responsible for degrading over 2% of South Africa’s land — into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and mandatory CORSIA carbon credits.
Working with the Community Work Programme (CWP) under COGTA, the project tackles clean skies, land restoration, and rural employment. Local workers harvest wattle, which is gasified into syngas and refined into aviation-grade fuel.
Each tonne of SAF represents measurable carbon reductions, producing tradable, insured carbon credits that fund wages, training, and land rehabilitation — creating a circular “climate prosperity” model.
By connecting community labour, government support, and private investment, AQLA proves that climate action can be profitable, scalable, and inclusive, advancing South Africa’s Just Energy Transition and aviation decarbonisation.
India: Generating Carbon Credits from Battery Recycling
In partnership with ACE Green Recycling, Aqualibre Africa is developing a framework to monetise carbon credits from recycling lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries in India. The process replaces polluting smelting with a closed-loop, zero-emission system that converts hazardous waste into reusable materials.
AQLA quantifies the emission reductions achieved through ACE’s clean technology and aligns them with global carbon-credit standards. Verified credits are issued via Aqualibre’s blockchain-based registry, ensuring transparency and investor confidence.
After a successful rollout in India, ACE retained AQLA for expansions in Taiwan and Texas, creating a global blueprint for battery-recycling decarbonisation.
This project proves industrial decarbonisation can be profitable, turning compliance into revenue and supporting India’s e-mobility and carbon-neutrality goals for 2070.
Namibia: Financing Nuclear Energy through Carbon Credits
Aqualibre Africa is supporting the Namibian Atomic Energy Board (AEB) to build a modern nuclear energy regulatory framework guiding the nation’s long-term energy strategy. As Namibia’s mining and industrial sectors expand, the demand for reliable, low-carbon baseload power is critical.
AQLA provides technical and financial advisory services to evaluate global nuclear technologies — from modular reactors to high-temperature gas-cooled designs — identifying those best suited to Namibia’s grid, geography, skill base, and water resources.
What sets this project apart is its financial model: using insured, community-led carbon credits to partially fund capital and operational costs. By quantifying avoided emissions from nuclear power, Namibia can attract sustainable-finance investments both locally and globally.
This initiative puts Namibia at the forefront of African climate-finance innovation, merging energy sovereignty, decarbonisation, and community inclusion through AQLA’s integrated model connecting science, policy, and green finance.
